Taster Session at the Velodrome - 26th February 2011

Saturday 26th February saw another gathering of OCRC and CTC members at the Manchester 
Velodrome for another taster session or chain gang outing - call it what you will.

After the World Cup event the previous weekend there was much talk of 18" splinters in 
the camaraderie of the changing room before our 5 o’clock session commenced. But the 
stout hearts put all these terrifying thoughts out of mind and just 'touched wood' that 
they would not fall off.

So round and round they went, some at not much more than touring pace, while others 
gloried in burning rubber, well above the blue line. Mid-way the coach collected all 
riders for a single lap, 250 metre time trial and Barry eagerly noted the times for 
his archive.

At the end when the clock reached six, all descended from the wooden bowl, sweaty 
and thirsty for a photo shoot. Some to be photographed wearing the new club 
clothing whilst other shots were of the reunion of old club members.
